The Pueblo of Jemez is a federally recognized tribe located in north-central New Mexico, approximately 50 miles northwest of Albuquerque. We are one of the remaining 19 pueblos of New Mexico, encompassing over 89,000 acres of land and home to over 3,400 tribal members. The people of Jemez cherish their ancestral traditions, and are proud to integrate their culture with modern society.

      • From Albuquerque: Take I-25 north to Bernalillo exit #242,Turn left heading West on US 550 to San Ysidro At San Ysidro
      • Merge right on to Highway 4, the Pueblo of Jemez-Walatowa Visitor Center is located at the Jemez Red Rocks (approx. 7 miles north of San Ysidro).
      • The Museum is free of charge.

      • The Pueblo of Jemez has wonderful food that is sold outdoors in the beautiful Jemez Red Rocks.
      • Try our famous Jemez Enchilada, Indian Tacos and Oven Bread.
