Since 1988, Grand Canyon West has welcomed tourists from around the world. GCW offers unparalleled canyon views, arguably the most unrestricted and natural views. Unobstructed by safety rails and handle rails, GCW offers two breathtaking canyon views. Grand Canyon West is a self-paced, self-guided tour that averages 3½ hours to complete. That's at moderate pace giving you time to experience everything that the West end has to offer. Grand Canyon West offers three stops, two of which are canyon views, where you can get as close to the edge or keep back as far as you would like, each a great photo opportunity.
Eagle Point, your first canyon view is home of the Grand Canyon Skywalk at Grand Canyon West. Guano Point is named as such for the mining operation that previously occupied this particular point. In the late 1940's, a Guano rich bat cave was located nearly 8,000 feet across to the other side of the canyon. A tram and trolley house was built on the end of this canyon peninsula. This viewpoint provides nearly 270 degree view as you visit the remnants of this old mining operation.
The Hualapai Ranch offers visitors a unique look into the past as you walk into this themed rustic cowboy town for your free wagon ride or just take part is some of our free cowboy games. You can also purchase horseback rides along the rim of the canyon and mechanical bull rides. |
