The University of Nevada, Las Vegas hosts the annual Powwow for the Planet, presented by Native UNLV and the Las Vegas urban Indigenous community. The gathering champions cultural preservation and leadership development among Native youth, along with advocacy for environmental justice and the protection of Indigenous sacred places in Nevada.

Visitors can experience traditional powwow dancing and drumming alongside authentic Native arts, craft vendors, and food vendors. The 4th annual edition ran April 12-13, 2025 on the UNLV campus, with admission of $7 per day or $10 for a two-day pass (children 4 and under free) and free weekend parking.
