Ruby Valley, in northeastern Nevada, is the site where the Treaty of Ruby Valley was signed in 1863 between the United States and the Western Shoshone. The annual Ruby Valley Treaty Conference gathers community members, scholars, and visitors to explore the treaty's history and its ongoing political, environmental, cultural, and social significance for Western Shoshone people.

The conference is organized by the Noowuh Knowledge Center, a Native-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving Shoshone cultural heritage. Past conferences have featured presentations on Shoshone history and culture, with earlier editions hosted at Great Basin College in Elko.

The 2026 Ruby Valley Treaty Conference is scheduled for October 2-4, 2026.
