Meeks Bay Resort sits on a white-sand bay on Lake Tahoe's west shore near Tahoma, California, on lands the Washoe people have gathered at for millennia. The resort is operated by the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California and offers cabins, lodges, campsites, RV sites, and a beach with kayak and paddleboard rentals.

Each summer the resort hosts the Waší∙šiw ɁitdéɁ Indigenous Culture and Arts Festival, celebrating Washoe heritage and broader Indigenous culture through basketry, traditional art, dance, storytelling, demonstrations, and cultural activities, along with a basket competition, arts and crafts, food vendors, and raffle prizes.

The 34th Annual Waší∙šiw ɁitdéɁ Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, July 25-26, 2026, from 9 am to 5 pm, with free admission.
