The Ely Shoshone Tribe is a federally recognized Western Shoshone tribe based in Ely, Nevada, with tribal offices at 16 Shoshone Circle. Each summer the tribe hosts its annual Fandango and Powwow, a celebration of Native American heritage held at the powwow grounds on Heritage Drive.

The gathering features a parade, traditional drumming and dancing, drum and dance contests, hand game tournaments, and competitions including archery, horseshoes, basketball, cornhole, and fun runs, alongside vendors, artisans, kids' activities, barbecue, and raffles. Everyone is welcome, and visitors are asked to be respectful of this sacred event and to refrain from photographing traditional and prayer dances.

The 2026 Ely Shoshone Fandango & Powwow is scheduled for July 24-26, 2026.
