CSU San Bernardino

Every September the campus of Cal State San Bernardino becomes home to the San Manuel Pow Wow, a three-day celebration hosted by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians (today the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation). Free and open to the public since its beginning in 1996, the powwow features Southern California traditional bird singers and dancers alongside dancers and drum groups from across North America and Canada.

Visitors can enjoy Native foods like fry bread and shop authentic arts and crafts from vendors representing tribal nations across the continent. With more than $250,000 in cash prizes for its dancing and singing competitions, it is one of the largest powwows in Southern California. The 2026 San Manuel Pow Wow is scheduled for September 18-20, 2026.

Events on this page are shared from the Nevada's Indian Territory calendar (nevadasindianterritory.com).
