Barona Sports Park sits on the Barona Indian Reservation in Lakeside, California, home of the Barona Band of Mission Indians, a federally recognized sovereign nation whose reservation was established in 1932. Each year around Labor Day weekend the park hosts the Annual Barona Powwow, a long-running gathering that welcomes drums and dancers with contest dancing in all categories.

Visitors can watch competitive dancing and drum groups in an outdoor setting on the reservation. The 54th Annual Barona Powwow is scheduled for September 4-6, 2026 at Barona Sports Park.
